Hardware repairs |
While many faults on a computer are software related, occasionally users will be unfortunate enough to suffer a hardware failure. Faults in the external devices will usually be quite apparent to the user; the mouse isn't working, the keyboard is behaving erratically or the loudspeakers suddenly going dead and repairs can easily be made by simply replacing the suspect item.  Internal faults are more difficult to detect and repair; even what seems like a non-functioning power supply unit might not be all it appears to be.BW Data Designs can diagnose the fault and repair your computer using components which will meet or exceed the specification of the original item. A hard disk drive failure must be the one fault most dreaded by any computer user. BW Data Designs will attempt to recover as much of the data on the faulty drive as possible and transfer it either to the new drive or record it on DVDs, however it must be stressed that data recovery is not always possible in every case. |
Laptop computers |
Hardware repairs on laptop computers are usually beyond the capabilities of the ordinary user, even the replacement of so called “field replaceable items” can be difficult. BW Data Designs can carry out hardware repairs on most laptop computers. If we are unable to repair the computer, or the computer is considered to be “beyond economic repair” we will notify you of the situation and discuss your options. BW Data Designs operates a “No fix, no fee” pricing policy, so if we can’t repair your computer you don’t have to pay us a penny. |
